Fran Wills joined the Local Media Consortium (LMC) in July 2018. She works with the LMC team to realize its vision and create strategies that leverage the latest technology and partnerships to increase revenue and audience growth for its members. As a longtime champion of local media, she’s committed to sustaining journalism and helping local media companies thrive in this rapidly evolving media landscape.
She’s a veteran marketing and digital executive for media, technology and retail companies serving in senior leadership roles for Cox Media Group, The Dallas Morning News and The Denver Post. Throughout her career, she has pioneered digital innovation and has been at the forefront of creating media partnerships with Google, Yahoo, Monster and Cars.com to increase revenue and bottom line results.
Fran is married with three incredible children and enjoys the sun and fun of living on the Georgia coast. She’s often in the kitchen creating her latest dish to pair with a glass of wine, planting a new pollinator garden or conducting bee research on Sapelo Island. It’s all about creating a buzz.
