Liz Hayes
Dir. of Strategy, The Branded Content Project
Liz discovered her future career path during her senior year of high school while taking a media productions class and creating content for Channel 2 Student News, her small hometown’s cable access channel.
That prompted her to earn a degree in broadcast journalism from the University of Wisconsin - Eau Claire. She’s spent most of her career in the field, getting her feet wet as an account executive for a local radio station. She then became the station’s news director discovering the unique quirks of local government before transitioning to television as a reporter, anchor and executive producer for Gray Television. Her greatest privilege was interviewing President Barack Obama, who at the time was a senator on the road to making U.S. history.
Liz then signed on as executive producer for MomsEveryday, Gray Television’s first cross-company branded TV show that aired throughout 55 markets. Liz helped conceptualize the show, served as panelist, content creator, editor and reported on a variety of parenting-related topics.
After a short stint in healthcare philanthropy, where she headed a large fundraiser for her community hospital, Liz is back following her passion of local news as Director of Strategy for The Branded Content Project, where she’s assists in the execution of the strategic initiative and collaborates on product creation, marketing, distribution, communication plans and sales training.
