Brandon Graves

Brandon Graves is an award-winning video journalist, newsroom leader, educator, and digital creator with nearly a decade of experience producing visual stories, leading video teams, and developing content for broadcast, digital, and social platforms.

As Director of the Newsroom Collective at the Video Consortium, Brandon spearheaded video strategy and led a multi-newsroom video incubator designed to help journalists elevate their visual storytelling and expand audience reach. Previously, as Director of Visual Presentation at 13News Now, he recruited and trained multimedia journalists, established video standards, and helped shape the visual direction of daily news coverage, enterprise reporting, and promotional content.

A dedicated educator, Brandon currently serves as a Visiting Lecturer in Digital Media Studies at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore and has previously taught video and interactive journalism at UC Berkeley. Beyond the classroom, he has built a thriving educational platform on TikTok, reaching over 2 million views and growing a community of more than 10,000 followers. Through the Brandon Graves Group, he merges media, education, and student development to empower students to build confidence, hone their skills, and achieve academic and professional success.
