Virtual Conference 2020

Session Description

What Could the "New Normal" Be Like for Newspapers?

2:00 PM ET

The webinar will begin with the most recent 2020 and 2021 newspaper revenue forecast and what a ‘U’ or ‘V” recovery would mean in terms of revenue.  As the revenue shock is being experienced, not is your entire expense base under scrutiny, but a better understanding of fixed vs. variable costs is needed to better prepare for the future.

How will this experience shape our future; what did you do in the war may be the question for our children regarding COVID-19.

A decline in economic activity is a certain; Q1 and Q2 could be as bad as the entire Great Recession.

A shock like this will create a discontinuous shift in the preferences and expectations of individuals across the general public, as employees, and as consumers. How we live, how we work, and how we use technology will be different.  How could this impact the newspaper business?  Stay tuned…
