Jeff Moriarty joined GateHouse in April 2018 with an extensive background in digital media and in building and monetising digital products across local, national and niche publications. Jeff is responsible for guiding GateHouse newspapers’ digital vision, product development and audience growth to drive innovation, audience engagement and both consumer and advertising revenue across digital platforms.
He joined GateHouse from Johnston Press in the London, where he was Chief Digital, Product and Publishing Officer for its 150 newspapers across the UK.
His previous experience includes 20 years running digital businesses across The New York Times Company. In 2011, he launched BostonGlobe.com, the first publisher to embrace responsive web design with its digital subscription product, and has also managed digital businesses at Nytimes.com, Boston.com, Golf Digest magazine and About.com
He also serves on the board the The Local, a digital publisher based in Stockholm, Sweden, publishing in 9 countries across Europe. Jeff is a graduate of the University of Florida, with a degree in journalism.
