Sarp Uzkan is an accomplished executive with 30 years of experience in leveraging technology to drive positive business outcomes. He has a deep knowledge of emerging digital products, trends and opportunities in news media marketplace.
Sarp serves as the Vice President of Transformation at McClatchy. He is accountable for growing digital revenue through strategic partnerships, building new business verticals, implementing McClatchy’s first party data strategy, helping improve efficiencies through automation and assisting with corporate development efforts.
Prior to joining McClatchy, Sarp was the Vice President of Information Technology, Cybersecurity and Head of Digital Product at the Tribune Publishing Company. Sarp also led Tribune Publishing’s M&A activities from IT and acquisition integration perspective.
Prior to joining the Tribune, Sarp was the Director of Information Systems at the Danly IEM and held the executive role to lead the company’s sales team. Earlier in his career, Sarp held several management roles at the Westell Technologies.
Sarp is married and has two children. He resides in Northfield, IL.
